WHAT WE DO FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
At Eco Rooms the environment is of upmost importance. Our principles are very highly geared towards providing an eco friendly, more cost effective and better quality solution to our competitors. A list of ways that we help ensure our products are as eco friendly as possible are listed below.
ALL TIMBER IS FSC CERTIFIED
All timber used in our garden rooms has been sourced from FSC certified forests around the world. By using FSC certified timber we are supporting the re planting of 5 trees for every one used in the construction of our garden rooms.
PRODUCTION WAREHOUSE POWERED BY SOLAR AND WIND
Our 10,000sq ft production facility is powered by solar panels installed to the Southern side of our property. Additional production is fed back into the grid.
CONCRETE USAGE MINIMISED
Our bases are constructed using 68x1000mm ground screws which eliminate the need for harmful concrete. It is estimated that between 4 – 8% of the worlds CO2 emissions is because of the cement industry.
USE OF ELECTRIC AND HYBRID VEHICLES
Wherever possible we use electric and hybrid vehicles. With the rapid increase in green electric commercial vehicles, our aim is that by 2025 our whole fleet is EV.
