ECO Rooms latest Garden Room Workshop project took us to Chedworth, one of the most beautiful parts of the Cotswolds in England. Our customer had chosen the “Broadway” a cube style room, and it’s one of our most popular configurations. As our garden rooms are such a flexible space, they can be used for any purpose, in this case our customer intends to use this one as a Textiles workshop for their business; and now they have the space they have been desperately craving to grow.

The garden room is surrounded by green, as they are fortunately blessed with such a beautiful view to work and as the day starts, the vast outdoors floods into the room and the view is elegantly framed by a sleek aluminium sliding door. As we roll into the spring, they will be able to watch the year in bloom as they peacefully work through the day; and as we have electricity to the room, a cup of tea is never too far away.

Clad with composite materials, this particular garden room creates a sleek and contemporary silhouette on the landscape, while still feeling very much part of nature. With a wide range of cladding options, ECO Rooms enables you to really make our garden rooms your own, and they are able to be at home in any setting or location. We also offer decking options in the same material as the cladding.

At ECO Rooms nature and the environment are particularly important to us, which is why we are using Groundscrews to install our garden rooms, an eco-friendly alternative to a concrete foundation. Concrete is now the second most consumed substance on Earth, only second to water. 4 billion tonnes of concrete are used every year, at a massive environmental cost. Not wanting to contribute to this we are doing our very best to create a minimal impact to our planet and being as eco-friendly as we possibly can.

As the evening sets in, and the natural light becomes limited, they can turn the lights on and as our ECO rooms are fitted with LED spotlights, they will be able to work through the evening without worrying of expensive electricity charges and staying as eco-friendly as possible. So as the natural light fades and as the sublime glow fills the room, they will really be able to get the most out of their bright new space.

The new space that has been created at this location in Chedworth will sit perfectly in the beautiful landscape for years to come and with our 10 years guarantee, you know it’s built to last. We only use the best materials and are very confident in our construction methods. There won’t be any problems with your new ECO Room, but it’s nice to know that we’ve got your back.

Our ECO Rooms are constructed using SIP (Structural Insulated Panels) constructions methods, some huge benefits of this type of construction are firstly; the thermal performance, ensuring your new rooms stays warm in the winter months without a huge heating bill and nice and cool during the summers – especially important for our client in Chedworth as they are using this ECO room as a working space. Another major benefit of our chosen construction method is the speed in which we are able to construct your new space; we only allow for a week onsite to finish your new room – a fact that we are very proud of.

Structural Insulated Panels are highly energy efficient and are able to contribute in a positive manor to CO2 levels in our atmosphere. Also, thanks to the manufacturing process a lot less energy is used in their construction, when compared with traditional building methods such as manufacturing steel, concrete and masonry.

One of the great benefits of using our ECO Rooms to gain more valuable and useable space, is that it’s likely you won’t need planning permission. Planning permission is required in a small number of builds in the UK. If you have permitted development rights at your property or the area that you live in, then it is not required. Our in-house team can assist free of charge with obtaining this during the initial design of your Garden Room.
